What do these campaign numbers tell me?
Explain what reported campaign numbers support and what they cannot establish about your business.
What do these campaign numbers tell me?
Use your own figures for deterministic planning or analysis. Inputs remain in this browser. Models do not verify business outcomes; contribution is not net profit.
How to use this tool
Bring: Manual figures or a local CSV report row, with period, currency, media spend and reported metric definitions. Separately recorded business outcomes are optional.
- Choose manual figures or load and map a local CSV. Select one report row at a time.
- State the period, currency and meaning of reported conversions. Leave unknowns blank.
- Review CTR, media CPC and reported CPA separately from owner-recorded inquiry and customer metrics.
- Compare a previous period only when definitions and scope match. Investigate attribution, costs and delayed closes before drawing conclusions.
Hypothetical example — fictional inputs, not a forecast
A fictional USD report has 1,000 impressions, 100 clicks, $200 media spend and 2.5 platform-reported conversions.
CTR is 10%, average media CPC is $2 and media spend per reported conversion is $80. The 2.5 figure is not a count of unique verified customers.
Use these figures only to understand the method. Replace them with your own consistent inputs.
Read the result in context
These ratios explain denominators. They do not establish why performance changed, whether tracking works or whether the business made a profit.
Assumptions and limitations
- No automatic account inspection, causal diagnosis, winner or health score is provided.
- Previous-period comparison requires explicit compatible scope, currency and conversion definition; a previous zero leaves relative percentage change undefined.
- CSV rows are explained individually rather than silently summing overlapping people or incompatible contexts.

Questions before you start
Why does CPA differ from cost per customer?
Reported CPA uses the platform’s conversion event and media spend. Cost per acquired customer needs a separate customer count and explicit compatible cost scope.
Does a lower CPC mean the campaign improved?
It describes a lower average media cost per click. Inquiry quality, customer outcomes, costs and attribution still need separate evidence.
